Before I Turn 100​

​

Our art gallery space has a new interactive exhibition- 'Before I Turn 100'.

This initiative has been inspired by American artist Candy Chang’s Before I Die project. It has now been adapted over 5,000 walls, in 35 languages and 75 countries across the globe.

One of our walls has been transformed with chalkboard paint, allowing you to write what you hope to do before you reach 100 years old.

Your unique responses will help shape a community art exhibition at Hawthorn Arts Centre in 2026. The exhibition will weave together voices from across the age span, from the dreams of children to the stories and wisdom of Boroondara's centenarians.
